Event Information Date: Wednesday, April 15, 2026 - 9:00am This training focuses on identifying and fixing common accessibility issues in existing PDF documents. Participants will learn how to diagnose accessibility problems and prioritize the most impactful fixes to improve document usability for all learners. The session introduces key remediation techniques using Adobe Acrobat, including correcting reading order, applying proper tags and headings, adding alternative text to images, creating accessible links, and setting the document language and title. Participants will also practice remediating simple and moderately complex tables and adding accessible form fields with appropriate labels and descriptions. Faculty will conclude the session by learning how to verify their work using Acrobat’s Accessibility Check along with manual review strategies to ensure documents meet accessibility standards and function effectively with assistive technologies.
