How to turn on Teams notifications (Desktop):

  1. Open Teams and locate the New Faculty team or its specific channels.
  2. Click the ⋯ More options menu next to the channel name.
  3. Select Channel notifications.
  4. Under “All new posts,” choose Banner and feed to get pop-up alerts and see updates in your Activity feed.
  5. Optionally customize rules for mentions or replies.

How to turn on Teams notifications (Mobile):

  1. Open Teams and tap More (three lines or dots).
  2. Go to Notifications and ensure general alerts are turned on.
  3. Confirm that mobile notifications are enabled in your device’s settings.
  4. For specific channels, tap the channel, then choose Channel notifications to customize alerts.

These settings will ensure that you receive new content, updates, and event reminders automatically without needing to check manually.
