Join the Grove Center for Excellence in Science Education as they host an AI Workshop lead by Greg Kestin on Thursday, February 19 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm in 16 Ritenour Building. 

"Do your exams cover the same topics as your lessons? Are your assignments aligned with your learning goals? In this workshop you will use AI-powered natural language processing to analyze your course documents. You will automatically organize your materials into a searchable knowledge base and use machine learning algorithms to create an easy-to-navigate concept map of the topics covered in your materials. A little about Greg Kestin: Dr. Kestin is the Associate Director of Science Education and a Lecturer on Physics at Harvard University, where he earned his doctorate in theoretical particle physics and quantum field theory. Over the course of his career, he has conducted research in nuclear physics, particle physics, fusion energy, and gravitational wave physics. His most recent work focuses on researching and developing AI-powered technologies for education. 

He also spent nearly a decade as a digital producer at PBS’s NOVA, where he developed award-winning documentaries, created the original video series What the Physics?!, and designed interactive educational technologies.
