Penn State University Press is pleased to announce Inside Academic Publishing, a free, Zoom-based symposium open to the entire Penn State University community. The event will take place on the afternoon of Friday, September 18 from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Designed especially for Penn State faculty, graduate students, and recent graduates, the symposium will demystify the academic publishing process and provide practical, actionable guidance for scholars seeking to publish their work. Sessions will offer insight into key stages of publishing—from developing a proposal and navigating peer review to understanding contracts, production, and dissemination—equipping participants with strategies to strengthen their prospects for publication and broaden the impact of their research.

The symposium is free and open to all Penn State faculty, staff, and students across all campuses, including the Commonwealth campuses. Registration is required.
